Learn how your town really works, how you can be informed, and how to be an active resident. 
 
Several key initiatives for League of Women Voters of Ridgewood are:
  • Work with both state LWVNJ and national LWVUS on common studies and issues
  • Take an active role in local issues
  • Sponsor candidates’ forums
  • Lobby state and local officials on LWV positions
  • Provide voter registration drives
  • Attend town meetings and speak out on issues of importance
 
Our local League includes members from neighboring towns in Bergen County.
LWV Mission Statement
The League of Women Voters is a a nonpartisan political organization. It does not support or oppose any candidate or party. (See the policy about using LWV materials.) The League encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all persons at least 16 years of age. We have three membership types: Individual, Family, and Student.
